Matt Le Meur // Creative Director
// about
Hi, I’m Matt. If you are like me, you went straight to the comments or in this case the profile page. No matter how or when you got here, you arrived safely and by your own free will. Welcome! Here is a little bit about me.
I was both honored and saddened when my agency leadership team wanted to nominate me for Ad Ages 40 under 40 at the age of 43. So, I did what any good self-respecting creative director would do. I used AI and rebranded myself.
I have a 3 year old and geez, no one ever tells you that the learning curve of parenting is incomprehensible, especially when you lived your life galavanting all around the world and country reveling with friends prior to making a human. But honestly, he’s the coolest little dude, and I’ve already taught him how to play hockey!
Anyway, I love advertising and storytelling. I believe in a think-first approach, which basically means, stepping away from your computer, picking up some paper, and giving yourself time to think. Teams I have managed have embraced this creative method and their work has improved significantly.
I can also be extremely verbose, so I will end here with a Top 5 List (I love lists). Here are the 5 things I have been doing. Let’s connect soon.

// some nice things were said about me
Matt is a very talented Creative Director and a crucial team member on FNBO. He approaches all projects with a solutions mindset, curiosity, and creativity. Matt does not just accept status quo; he pushes himself and his team to seek creative solutions that go beyond the assignment or what’s been done in the past. He leads with empathy and enthusiasm, setting the right example for those that report to him. He’s developed strong and trusted relationships with his team and our clients. His design skills are impeccable not only in the work he produces but also in his evaluation, critique and direction of his team’s work. I’ve seen Matt work hard this year to deepen his understanding and knowledge of our client’s business and the financial industry which has had a big impact on the creative product and the kind of client feedback we receive. I value Matt’s opinion, I trust him as a peer and I respect him as a partner in furthering the success of our team and our client work.
// Director of Strategy
Matt has the positive "can-do" attitude that has motivated him in his work; it pushes him out of his boundaries and serves to create ideas that are not afraid to push the client. He spends time coaching peers on accountability, attitude, and holds them responsible for their work and schedules; motivates them to lead vs lean.
// VP Client Services
Matt is a very talented Creative Director and a crucial team member on FNBO. He cares deeply about the work and his team. Matt never fails to dig in to look for innovative and extraordinary solutions to client challenges. His work on FNBO has expanded the business, created strong client relationships and grown the team's confidence and skillsets. Matt is doing a fantastic job.
// Senior Copywriter
Last time I was talking about Matt, I was telling our new VP Account Director that when I inherited him, then I stopped and I had to correct myself and said, “when I was gifted Matt.” He came in here are completely revamped the creative process with a focus on thinking, storytelling, and selling the work.
// VP Creative Director
Matt is a kind and empowering leader who truly wants the best for his team. He is a fierce advocate for his people and I can tell that he makes assignment decisions with his team's development in mind. He himself is a powerful creative and contributes fantastic ideas to our account team's work.
// Senior Art Director
Matt is a fantastic people leader. I really appreciate the way he prioritizes growing the talent on his team, and have noticed it even more in 2023. He's elevated Patrick and Adam to be the day-to-day leaders of the account, both empowering them to own the work and mentor the more junior team members. I know Matt hosts training sessions and regularly meets with all members of the team to check in on bandwidth and resourcing.
